Some of these artists had to wait long in order to make their comeback and situations varied among each.

With their single "Dolls" which was released on January 2013, the music video titled "Wild" was released on May 9, 2013. Then on September 25th, Nine Muses made an announcement on their Twitter account with their first full album which is "Prima Donna" released on October 14th. Then finally with much anticipation, the ladies released their album as well as music video "Gun" on October 13, 2013. So fans did not have to wait long for their comeback. The ladies kept the fire going after their MV release for "Wild;" only a couple of months is all it took for the girls.

K.Will:

K.Will took one year for him to make his comeback. On 2012, K.Will released his third mini album titled "I Need You" which was two weeks after his song release "I Hate Myself. That same day, K.Will also unveiled a music video for "I Need You" which featured SISTAR's Bora and actors Ji Chang Wook and Yeo Jin Gu. Then the month of October rolled around and on October 7th, it was revealed that photos of K.Will's upcoming album was in the works. Now it is year 2013, and on April 3, 2013, K.Will released his new single "Love Blossom." Then on October 19th, he released his new album, "Will in Fall." Two days later, the music video for the albums single "You Don't Know Love" starring EXO rapper Chanyeol and South Korean model Lee Ho Jung was released on October 21st.

T-ARA:

T-ara fans also had to wait one year for their comeback due to the conflicts that the group faced. Though all that was set aside and are now back with a great hit song. T-ara released "Funky Town" on January 3, 2012 which lead to their second single which was "Lovey-Dovey."

October 6, 2013, the ladies performed "Number 9" for the first time at "Hallyu Dream Concert" along with "Sexy Love." October 9th, CCM released the third teaser for "Number 9" before the official release on October 10th. So the group has worked hard to make their return.

AOA:

On July 11, 2013, AOA Black which consisted of Jimin, Choa, Yuna, Youkyung, and Mina announced that they will be making their comeback for their third single titled, "Moya." Then two months later, on September 29, FNC uploaded a mysterious teaser onto their YouTube account which hinted the groups comeback which was confirmed on that same day.

October 1st came and FNC released teaser pictures for AOA's comeback as well as revealed the album title which was "Red Motion" with a concept teaser on the 3rd of October. October 8th, the teaser for their titled song, "Confused" was uploaded which followed the next day being the official day of release for their song. Then the full album was released on October 13th.

Seo In Young:

Seo In Young also waited a year to make her return by last year which was on October 17, 2012 being her song "Let's Dance." The track is a dance style of music that combines elements of electronic disco as well as post disco which further shows the musical style that Seo has gone through.

2013 came and in early of the year, Seo In Young became the main voice coach for "Voice Korea Kids." Throughout the months, Seo did numerous announcements regarding about making her return for the months of May and September. Then finally, October came and she made her comeback on October 3, 2013 by her debuting "Love Me."

Block B:

Block B returned in October which fans had to wait eight month after their last comeback which was with their first full album titled "Blockbuster."

September 17, 2013, the group announced their pre-released single "Be the Light" which the full music video was released on September 22, 2013. Then the group released their next mini-album "Very Good" with five additional songs on October 2nd.

SHINEe:

2012, the group had their first Japan Arena Tour as well as second Asia tour for "Sherlock." The group made their Korean comeback a year and six months after the release of "Hello." "Sherlock" was released on March 22, 2012.

The group did numerous tours and finished they concert tour in Japan. Then on September 29, 2013, SM Entertainment announced that the group will release their fifth EP for "Everybody" on October 14th!

Kahi started her promotional campaign for her solo debut in mid-February 2011 with the album jacket photos being released on February 9th and then a teaser video on the 12th. The mini-album was then released on February 14, 2011 and her music video for "Come Back, You Bad Person" was released on February 14, 2011 which she then began her promotional activities on the 18th.

K.Will Jumps To Number 1 On The Billboard K-Pop Hot 100 With His Soulful Hit 'You Don't Know Love'

After a month that has seen top 10 dominance by pop rock trio Busker Busker and solo singer IU, K.Will finds himself in the number one spot on the Billboard K-Pop Hot 100 this week with his smooth R&B single "You Don't Know Love."

It's likely the song's chart success has something to do with the popular music video starring Chanyeol of the boy band EXO and model Lee Ho Jung as estranged lovers.

"You Don't Know Love " is a product of the successful production team Duble Sidekick. The group has worked with Super Junior, MBLAQ and SISTAR.

Jumping an impressive 33 places from last week, Park Ji Yoon's funky new single "Mr. Lee" featuring San E is in the number two spot on the Billboard K-Pop Hot 100.

The song is an innovative mixture of 1990s East Coast hip-hop drum beats and 1970s Motown horn riffs. And drifting on top of that tasty musical backdrop, Park offers several layers of soulful vocals.

In the wake of charges the composers of the IU hit "The Red Shoes" Lee Min Soo and Kim Ee Na plagiarized Nekta's 2009 song "Here's Us," according to the website allkpop, the song dropped two places this week.

IU's single "The Red Shoes" is at number three.

Hanging around in the top five, is the Busker Busker single "Love At First," which had a two week lock on the number one spot on the Billboard K-pop chart, before IU knocked it out of first place, last week.

Busker Busker's "Love At First" is currently at number four in its fifth week on the chart.

With a pulsing techno beat and "Gangnam Style" drum breaks, the minor chord progressions of new T-ara's dance track "No. 9" give the song an epic and original quality.

Although once known as "K-pop's most hated group" because of a bullying controversy that resulted in former member Hwayoung quitting the group, T-ara appears to be back in their fans' good graces.

"No. 9" is at number five in its fourth week on the chart.

JYP Entertainment Is Returning To Its Former Glory, But Don't Call It A Comeback

JYP Entertainment is ready to make a strong comeback.

JYP Entertainment is ready to make a strong comeback.

October was a great month for Park Jin Young, most popularly known as JYP. The CEO of JYP Entertainment, who celebrated eighteen years in the music industry back in May 2013, announced early in October that he was getting married. This marriage, to someone who was not tied to the Korean entertainment industry, came as a to a shock to fans and industry insiders. However, married life has appeared be a great thing for Park Jin Young who is set to make a solo comeback and to lead JYP Entertainment back to its rightful place as one of the big three K-Pop agencies.

Like Us on Facebook :

2012 was not a good year at JYP Entertainment. The year marked the start of whispers within the K-Pop community that JYP Entertainment was failing as an agency, when compared to the success of YG and SM Entertainment. While 2012 led to the full debut of the widely successful group EXO and sold out world tour performances for YG Entertainment's Big Bang and 2NE1, JYP Entertainment failed to show the same accomplishments. By contrast, 2012 was year in which popular male group 2PM did not have a major release. The sequel to the well-received JYP backed drama, Dream High 2, was met with low ratings and criticized for having poorly constructed plot lines. While Dream High served to set industry standards for artist marketing, its sequel completely detracted from these artists.

Other than his participation as a judge in the high profile audition program, Kpop Star, there was very little buzz surrounding Park Jin Young and and JYP Entertainment. Further substantiating claims that JYP Entertainment was falling from grace was the announcement that the agency would be closing its New York City office and halting attempts to enter the U.S. market, which was one of the key goals for Wonder Girls. At the end of 2012, Wonder Girls announced that they would be taking a hiatus from the industry, primarily due to the fact that member Sunmi was going to marry her longtime boyfriend. Unfortunately, this announcement appeared to serve as the death knell for JYP Entertainment.

Although, 2PM made a very solid comeback earlier in 2013, there was still little activity seen from the agency as a whole, throughout the year. At the completion of Kpop Star 3, it was widely speculated that the winning duo Akdong Musician would choose JYP Entertainment to represent their future careers as K-Pop artists. However, the brother and sister songwriters went to YG Entertainment. This served as yet another blow to the agency, which definitely needed the buzz which surrounded Akdong Musician.

Perhaps, in K-drama fashion JYP was preoccupied with wooing the woman who would become his wife. Following his marriage in October, JYP announced that he would be performing a Christmas Eve show as part of his 2013 J.Y. Park Bad Party (The Half Time Show) Tour. In addition he reaffirmed both his athletic prowess and performance ability on variety show Cool Kiz On The Block.

Beyond his solo comeback proclamations, Park Jin Young announced that he would soon be releasing a new male group, alluding that the seemingly abandoned JJ Project would be included in the group. Additionally, October marked the release of comeback teasers for girl group Miss A. Finally, October ended with the news that JYP had met with Google executive, Eric Schmidt, which could lead to revolutionary measures in how Korean entertainment reaches a worldwide market. After what seemed like a lengthy break from K-Pop, Park Jin Young and JYP Entertainment are finally back.

Major EXO Fan Club Threatens Legal Action Against Creator Of Petition Calling For Exemption Of Band From Army Service

The members of one of the largest online fan clubs for the K-pop boy band EXO are threatening legal action against the organizers of a petition to the South Korean government to excuse the 12 members of the group, most of who are in their early 20s, from military service.

"Please help our EXO brothers become exempt from military service!" read the petition, which has sparked outrage among some fans.

"Instead of [the members of EXO], can't regular guys just add a few more years to their service instead? They can just think of it as being on a retreat a little longer. The EXO fan club is currently collecting signatures for a petition. Please sign to help our EXO brothers become exempt from service."

Like Us on Facebook :

All eligible South Korean males between the ages of 18 and 35 must enroll for roughly two years of army service. The length of their mandatory enrollment changes by several months depending on which branch of the military that they serve in.

On Thursday, in a blistering indictment of the petition, the EXO online fan club EXO Planet announced their 100,000 members would not only not be signing the petition but are considering a defamation lawsuit.

"If someone is spreading false information with no evidence and ends up hurting or making things difficult for the members, we want to tell the people who are recklessly attacking EXO that our side will take legal action," the fan club's statement read.

The fan club statement also laid out the members' desire for the dozen members of EXO to do the right thing when it comes to their country's conscription law.

"Whether it's because of an anti-fan or a fan, because of that one person, EXO is being cast in a bad light on multiple portal sites, so we're writing this statement. We have absolutely no plans to sign a petition for the EXO members to get exempted from military service," the statement added.

"We will not hold back our support or words of encouragement for EXO if they make the right choices. If they ever go in the wrong direction, we'll be hurt, but we'll discipline them out of love in order for them to become more mature...we would like everyone to know that we have no involvement in this matter."

EXO on ‘Running Man’? Seen Filming for the Show

EXO may be appearing on SBS' entertainment show "Running Man."

According to one broadcasting rep, EXO was seen filming on October 29th for SBS entertainment program "Running Man." There's even talk of Dodgers' pitcher Ryu Hyun Jin joining the members on the show as well.

When asked about these guests, the 'Running Man' staff and SBS PR team commented, "At this time we are unable to confirm these guest appearances."

2NE1 Praised By Girls' Generation Member Seohyun: Blackjacks Begin Trending #WeWant2NE1 In Demand Of New Album, Single From YG

2NE1 has been eerily silent as of late, but they are receiving a lot of attention as of late, both from fellow idol groups and the Blackjacks.

Recently, K-Pop girl group Girls' Generation discussed 2NE1 during an interview at the KBS1 "Open Concert."

According to YGLadies, Girls' Generation was asked about their feelings toward junior and senior K-Pop idol groups, during which Seohyun mentioned 2NE1.

Like Us on Facebook :

"We learn a lot from 2NE1 and we even follow their dance moves in the waiting room. We always wanted to thank them for always showing great performances on stage and we will continue to follow them."

Coming from a member of one of the biggest groups in Korea, this is high praise indeed!

But not everything has been so positive for 2NE1 as of late.

As fans are well aware of, 2NE1 has failed to release any new material or their promised new album within the promised timetable. October is nearly over, and 2NE1's new single or album are nowhere in sight.

And now, Blackjacks everywhere are attempting to get the attention of YG Entertainment by trending the Twitter hashtag #WeWant2NE1.

Whether this works or not remains to be seen, but the passion of the Blackjacks are very admirable, and hopefully with "WIN" completed, 2NE1 will have their chance to shine before the end of the year.

Exploring Fandom: Did EXO Fans Begin A Petition Calling For The Group To Receive Military Exemption?

Is this just a rumor or did fans really ask for military exemption?

Is this just a rumor or did fans really ask for military exemption?

On October 29th, rumors began to emerge that fans of SM Entertainment's EXO had started an online petition requesting that the Korean government exempt EXO from having to serve their mandatory military term. The result was an outpouring of anti-EXO sentiment within the Korean fan community. Even if the petition were started by one individual, which is the claim of fan group, EXO Planet, this individual was successful in reigniting the on-going debate regarding EXO fans.

EXO fans have repeatedly made headlines during 2013. Most fan groups receive media attention for their philanthropic works such as donating tons of rice, in the form of rice wreaths, or assisting with financial aid for the needy. In the case of EXO, most media attention has unfortunately been directed at the actions of saesang fans, whose treatment of the band itself and other fans, have become examples of some of the most excessive actions in K-Pop history. What is it that separates EXOs fans from fans of other groups?

In South Korea and Japan, official fan clubs are a key component of the K-Pop industry, helping to generate revenue for the artists and entertainment agencies. While the concept of fan clubs may sound juvenile or an antiquated part of 1960s marketing in America, they are an essential part of what keeps K-Pop thriving in a global economy where music has been undercut by illegal downloading and rising ticket costs for live performances. The phenomena is best chronicled in the Korean drama Reply 1997 in which one of the main characters helps to lead one of the largest fan clubs in Korea.

Like Us on Facebook :

As opposed to SM Entertainment label mates Super Junior, Girls Generation, SHINee, and TVXQ, EXO has yet to endorse an official fan club. Membership dues for official groups that average at 10,000 Korean won, allow official fan clubs to hire management or governing bodies. The lack of an official entity means there is no governing body for the fans. While this sounds insignificant, it is a key part of why EXO fans have made the headlines for the wrong reasons, this past year.

In May 2013, rumors which were substantiated by video posted online, showed international K-Pop fans who were attempting to see EXO perform on the popular program M! Countdown receive various forms of mistreatment. Fans who had traveled from countries as far away as Australia and the United States, began to post complaints on social media that they were denied entrance to M! Countdown in a situation that was precipitated by EXO fans. Officials at Mnet, the network which hosts M! Countdown disavowed knowledge of the incident.

Later in the summer, EXO fans were banned from attending live tapings of SBS' Inkigayo. Producers of Inkigayo stated that EXO fans had engaged in general mob behavior, such as using fan signs as weapons, chasing the group through the studio to the streets, and refusing to follow the rules assigned by SBS. The network also noted that the police were called on numerous occasions.

Subsequent to these activities, there was an increase in photos of fans engaging in self mutilation such as carving the name and logo on the band into their bodies. In September, fans disrupted the wedding ceremony of member Baekhyun's older brother, when what was intended as a crowd of support became almost riotous. Earlier this month, Tao expressed his anger and displeasure at saesang fans through his Weibo account.

A frustrated EXO Planet issues a response to the military exemption petition.

A frustrated EXO Planet issues a response to the military exemption petition.

In response to the controversy surrounding the online petition, EXO Planet issued a statement renouncing the actions of whatever individuals began the petition. With 100,000 registered fans, EXO Planet is the closest thing to an official fan club for EXO. This statement is strongest from EXO Planet, in which they threaten legal action if the petitions and negative statements towards EXO continue. With increasing negative attention, will SM Entertainment designate an official club for EXO, helping to create more harmony with in the community? Are saesang fans true fans or are they nothing more than anti fans, in disguise?

Dress Up Like Your Favorite Male K-pop Star: G-Dragon, Psy, Exo

I can guarantee that everyone will be dressing like the world famous Psy for this coming Halloween. Dressing up as Psy this Oct. 31 will be an affordable one since all you really need is a pair of dark shades, gel, and a cheesy colored suit that you can pick up at your local thrift store.

If you love G-Dragon and plan on dressing like him for the upcoming holiday, then lucky for you that the options are limitless. Here are a few ideas:

Like Us on Facebook :

If you're lucky enough to have 11 other guy friends who love EXO as much as you do then dress up like EXO for Halloween. Do your hair nice, wear skinny jeans, and order shirts with wolves on them and any time someone asks you who you are, get into the "Wolf" formation and any K-pop fan will understand immediately.

If you want to be Jay Park for Halloween get a washable black marker and draw tattoos all over you. Make sure you do it enough that your mom screams and passes out by the time out come downstairs. Don't worry about buying an outfit. Grab your fitted hat, a pair of dark jeans, and go topless. If your abs aren't up to par there are videos on YouTube that show you how to trick people into thinking you have abs with make-up.

And lastly, if you are a boy and you want to look like your favorite pretty male idol i.e., Hyun Joong, JaeJoong, or Taemin, I'm sorry to say but it's too late for you to get the kind of surgery that will make you look like those beautiful men.

2013 MelOn Music Awards Top 10 - Who Will Be Named K-Pop's Best Artist Of The Year?

MelOn, South Korea's largest music streaming site, is getting prepared for their annual MelOn Music Awards next month and have released their list of the best and brightest K-Pop artists of the year.

So far, 2013 has been a tremendous year for the Korean music industry. With a shocking amount of innovation and variety, idol groups shared the spotlight with a host of talented soloists, many artists branched out into different genres and styles, and a long list of rookies hit the scene with a vengeance.

MelOn narrowed the laundry list of talented acts down to ten who had a strong impact on K-Pop this year as the 2013 MelOn Music Awards Top 10.

Like Us on Facebook :

The winners include Ailee, B2ST, Busker Busker, Davichi, Dynamic Duo, EXO, G-Dragon, IU, SISTAR, and SHINee.

The ten elite artists were selected after considering their individual online sales numbers (80% of the ranking) and the results of an online poll (the remaining 20%) that saw an astonishing 1.74 million votes cast.

LOEN Entertainment, MelOn's parent company, noted that there was a strong presence from male pop idols in this year's music sales - pointing out that G-Dragon, SHINee, EXO and B2ST were all chart toppers and fan favorites.

Additionally, LOEN explained 2013 saw a good showing by female vocalists with Ailee, IU, Davichi, and girl group SISTAR topping the list.

The addition of indie-style pop with Busker Busker and famed hip-hop pair Dynamic Duo to the list of 2013's hottest artists proves that K-Pop is diversifying and welcoming new styles with open arms.

The top ten acts will be recognized at the MelOn Music Awards ceremony on November 14 where they will go head to head for the titles of Best Artist, Best Album, and Best Song. The final decision will be made through a second round of online voting.

Other categories that will be officially awarded at the ceremony are Best Newcomer, Hot Trend Award, and Best Global Artist.

The MelOn Music Awards will take place at the Olympic Gymnastics Stadium in Seoul on November 14.

The Top 10 Artist List For The “2013 Melon Awards” Have Been Released: Award Season Is Now Full Swing

Who will take home top awards?

Who will take home top awards?

Loen Entertainment, in conjunction with MBC Plus Media, released the Top 10 Artist list for the "2013 Melon Awards". The Melon Awards reflect not only the popularity of K-Pop artists, but the performance of their music on the charts. In order to determine the Top 10 Artists, statistics are compiled utilizing eighty percent of an artist's chart sales with twenty percent of online votes. Unlike the "2013 MAMA Awards" which has openly welcomed the addition of international fan votes by creating a multilingual system, voting for the 2013 Melon Awards remains contained to voters in Korea.

The Top 10 Artist list is a mix of solo artists, male and female groups, as well as a hip hop duo. The most obvious choices, especially to international audiences, are G-Dragon, EXO, SHINee, BEAST, Ailee, IU, and Sistar. Popular hip-hop act Dynamic Duo, ballad duo Davichi, and Superstar K finalists Busker Busker round out the list. Online voter participation for round one reached 1.74 votes. The Top Ten Artists are now entered into a second round of votes, which will occur online until November 13th.

In addition to the Top 10 Artists, there are numerous other categories. The Best New Artist category features the critically acclaimed hip-hop group BTS, the retro influenced male pop vocalists of History, girl group Ladies Code, alternative indie vocalist Lim Kim, and balladeer Roy Kim. One of the most interesting categories, considering that international audiences are restricted from voting is the Best Global Artist category. Nominees in the Best Global Artist include PSY, EXO, 2NE1, Girls Generation, and Super Junior-M. This category is also a point of interest in that it reflects the battle to dominate the global market, which YG Entertainment and SM Entertainment are most actively engaged in. The complete list of nominees and categories is available on the Melon Award 2013 site.

In a show of commitment to include international audiences, Loen Entertainment will be live streaming the event via their YouTube channel, with viewing availability for audiences worldwide. There will also be support for mobile live streaming of the event. This is in contrast to past "Melon Awards" which had to be viewed via underground streams. The 2013 Melon Awards will be held on November 14th. Which artists will you be supporting and who do you think be the top award winners?

While SM Entertainment's hit male group EXO is preparing for a November comeback, both YG Entertainment and JYP Entertainment are looking to debut boy bands as well. It's as if the latter 2 agencies are looking to compete with the undeniable popularity of EXO.

YG Entertainment's newest boy group "Winner" was chosen by viewers through a 10-episode survival audition group called "Who Is Next: WIN." 11 YG trainees were split into Team A and Team B, and battled it out over 10 episodes. On the 25th, viewers voted for the 5-member Team A or 6-member Team B, and the winner was announced on the live show. They're looking to debut as early as December this year. VIXX "Milky Way" First Global Showcase in USA Getting Closer, Texas Event Organizer Jazzy Group Says of the Location Choice, 'Why Not Dallas?'

As October closes, November is inching up fast. That means, the countdown begins for VIXX's return to the USA for their global showcase. The VIXX boys will first descend in Dallas, on November 8th before landing in Los Angeles on November 10th. It will be an experience unlike any other concert as Jazzy Group and K-pop United combine forces to bring VIXX to US Starlights (the name of VIXX's fanclub)

Since VIXX's showcase was announced a few months ago, curiosity was aroused at the two relatively new names in the US concert event organizer space. While both organizers may be smaller entrants into the US market, both are actually well-versed in the K-pop fan culture.

Jazzy Group, originally hailing from Malaysia, is making their first foray into the US market through VIXX's showcase, mainly the Dallas concert. Gabriel Ho, a representative for the group, says of their decision to form US K-pop concert event operations, "I think this is every promoter's dream to enter the US market since all entertainment mainly originates from the US. With over 15 years of experience in the entertainment industry, we are always exploring and expanding." But as a whole, the US K-pop market can be rather lukewarm as with any kind of market, and Mr. Ho recognizes this as well, "I would say every market has its own difficulties. Difficulty means opportunity. We see a lot of potential in the US market especially the amazing support of fans." Jazzy Group has made their deep roots in K-pop events organizing by mastering exactly that - delivering a concert experience that matches the love of K-pop fans. In Malaysia, where there is a quite personal K-pop fan culture, Jazzy Group was responsible for majority of the K-pop events that bring the fans closer to the artists. And this same formula is what Jazzy Group USA is trying to use, beginning with VIXX's First Global Showcase in the USA.

Like Us on Facebook :

One other unique element in the VIXX First Global Showcase set-up is the choice of cities. While Los Angeles is nearly almost always a given, the choice to bring K-pop to Dallas is rather bold. With the southwest central city as not a typical K-pop location, the question that comes to mind is 'Why Dallas?', to which Jazzy Group's representative wittily responded, "I will say " Why not Dallas?" The main reason we chose Dallas TX is we listen. A lot of cities or states are being neglected due to many different reasons. After all the consideration, we chose Texas, but what city? Dallas became the final choice since it is in the middle of the US, has a large Korean population, and not too costly for fans to travel." How does Jazzy Group overcome the challenge of needing to spread the word, especially with such a relatively new market. Raising awareness is key, and Mr. Ho is generally grateful again for the unity among K-pop fans saying, "It also is not an easy task for us to target all the K-pop fans in Dallas and cities in Texas. However, fans are very active and helpful. Once they heard VIXX is coming to Dallas TX, all of them jump in and help spread the words out and promote as much as they can. We, as an organizer, really appreciate what they have done for VIXX and Jazzy Group US."

So, it appears, that the fans are finally heard, and Texas is now being represented. It will be a great opportunity indeed for US K-pop! That said, this also implies that the expansion of K-pop into other cities in the US is just beginning. So, naturally we asked Jazzy Group US if more cities and more events are in store. And we got let in on a secret! Mr. Ho says, "I will tell you this. The first half of our calendar for next year is full."

In our conversation with Jazzy, we haven't completely forgotten about the focus of the upcoming showcase, VIXX. The boy group is not a stranger to an American concert stage. Their first overseas performance was in the USA, in the East Coast specifically Baltimore, and then they performed alongside B.A.P, EXO, NU'EST, and 4Minute in the first ever KCON in 2012 in Orange County, California. The band was formed from the six successful participants of Mnet reality show, Mydol.

Jazzy Group tells us about their choice of going with VIXX as the K-pop act they will be hosting in their debut event in the US, "I think VIXX is being underestimated by a lot of people. They are such a young, vibrant and talented group. You can tell each one of them has their own talents. They are ready to take on any big stage. As you might have known, they debuted not too long ago, May 2012. Their fan base is already building up. A lot of fans might think they are too mysterious."

Because Jazzy Group and K-pop United aim to bring a different kind of concert, even aiming "to bring the K-pop experience up a notch." How will they be doing this? "VIXX First Global Showcase gives you the chance to meet them in person and find out more about them yourself." Mr. Ho adds. And when they say meeting and greeting, they really mean a good amount of fan service. Jazzy Group's representative revealed "We want fans to interact with artists. That is why we have 200 autograph passes, 100 photograph passes and 100 pre-signed posters hand delivered by VIXX for all who come to VIXX showcase."

But more than the fan-service, Jazzy Group believes in the heights that VIXX can still soar to. Mr. Ho says, "It is our honor to be able to host VIXX. As a promoter and organizer, we not only focus on promoting shows, but also the artists. VIXX deserves to be recognized by the public. I will tell you this. They are a force that nobody should miss. So, people will miss out on these rising stars if they don't grab at this chance and come to VIXX First Global Showcase."

Tickets are still available for the Dallas showcase, and can be purchased through AXS (http://www.axs.com/events/244421/vixx-tickets). Los Angeles tickets are also still available and can be purchased through AXS as well (http://www.axs.com/events/244719/vixx-1st-global-showcase-tickets).

Stay tuned to KpopStarz, for a unique opportunity to meet VIXX in Dallas!

EXO Suho Wants SHINEe Jonghyun to Show Off Their Friendship!

Joonmyun of EXO thinks that it's only right that his friendship with SHINee's Jonghyun be showcased to the world, and he thought that one of the best ways to do so was to make Jonghyun tweet their Halloween picture together. And Jonghyun did exactly that.

So many things are happening in this picture, I don't even know where to begin. Jonghyun, first of all, is dressed up as the main character in Naruto, this is a big deal. And he's next to cutie Joonmyun trying to look just as cute.

Like Us on Facebook :

The picture seems to be taken during a party or before it, with the two hanging out casually and being the best of bros during a holiday. They look so comfortable together that they should really just try to hang out more. Many of the fans are reacting to this with messages like "I have been waiting for a selca from these two forever!" and so on and so forth. The two have been known to be close friends, but no picture has been released yet until now. So the fans are ecstatic. And to think that this all started because of Joonmyun calling Jonghyun "Jonghyun-ah" while asking him to show off their friendship.

WINNER Joins Big Bang's Dome Concerts: Does YG Intend To Fill The Void Left By BigBang's Military Service With the Group?

Will YG use WINNER as substitutes for BigBang?

Will YG use WINNER as substitutes for BigBang?

WINNER, Team A from the competition "WIN", will be the second male group released by YG Entertainment in seven years. Due to the sheer numbers of the combined groups, WINNER and Team B, who will remain trainees at YG, are instantly facing comparisons to mega groups EXO and Super Junior. However, YG tends to think outside the box from the cookie cutter formula that pervades SM Entertainment. The key to Yang Hyun Suk's approach of WINNER is not that he wants to imitate the success of his competitors but is establishing the successors for the globally dominant, yet aging group Big Bang.

Earlier this year, a list surfaced which contained the rumored enlistment dates and plans for the five members of Big Bang. Following this list, were the subsequent solo comebacks for members Daesung, G-Dragon, and Seungri. Each member was marketed in a unique way, with Daesung's vocal talent on ballads and popularity amongst Japanese audiences heavily focused on. G-Dragon received a world tour, although it concentrated within Asia and was provided the unique opportunity of showcasing his vocal talent as well as his production skills on the brilliant double album, "Coup D'Etat". Like Daesung, Seungri was also heavily promoted within Japan and was able to prove that he was a viable solo artist.

Like Us on Facebook :

November will bring the solo activities of Big Bang to a conclusion, with Taeyang releasing a solo album and T.O.P on the silver screen in the highly anticipated film, "Commitment". As the media undergoes a deluge of promotional segments for the members of BigBang, including the nominations for G-Dragon and Seungri for MAMA Awards, YG Entertainment will capitalize on the opportunity to promote WINNER.

Other points of interest were statements made by Big Bang leader G-Dragon, last week. G-Dragon hinted to the creation of a new BigBang sub-group, which would make a lot of sense once members of the group begin to serve their term within the military. G-Dragon also confirmed that he intended to remain with YG Entertainment, which hints at the possibilty of contract renewal. Earlier this year, Se7en and Gummy were among artists whose contracts were not renewed with YG Entertainment.

Further substantiating the theory that YG intends WINNER to be a Big Bang successor more so than an imitator of SM Entertainment acts is the attachment of the group formerly known as Team A to BigBang's 6 dome tour in Japan. VIPs are known to be a fiercely loyal fan base and creating the atmosphere that BigBang has accepted the rookie group fully into YG Family is a brilliant move. The inclusion of YG production dynamos Teddy and Choice 37 on the "Final Battle" mini album, which was released following the compeition, clearly shows Yang Hyun Suk's commitment to fostering the competitors within both groups.

If WINNER is to continue within the tradition of YG Family and maintain an identity that is hip-hop flavored, not only will they face stiff competition from groups such as EXO, but from B.A.P and BTS, who have also dominated the market since they debuted. It will be interesting see where Papa YG leads the newest addition to YG Family. Will WINNER be capable of filling the very large shoes of BigBang or will they create an identity at YG that is uniquely their own?
